Ingredients
- 2 c Light Brown Sugar
- 1 1/2 c Unsalted Butter
- 1 Eggs
- 3 1/4 c Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
Combine dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg, then add dry ingredients. Batter will be stiff.
Chill the dough for at least an hour.
You can roll the dough at this point and cut into shapes, or form into logs to chill, slice, and bake.
Bake at 350F. Thin, shaped cookies need only 5-6 minutes baked. Thicker cookies need 9-11 minutes.
